For those who may be intimidated by the thought of having to post something on their blog every day, take a deep breath... this one's for you! Eric Kintz (VP of Global Marketing Strategy & Excellence for HP) presents this great post on why frequent blog posting no longer matters. Here's the Top 10 Reasons:
- Traffic is generated by participating in the community; not daily posting.
- Traffic is irrelevant to your blog’s success anyway.
- Loyal readers coming back daily to check your posts is so Web 1.0!
- Frequent posting is actually starting to have a negative impact on loyalty.
- Frequent posting keeps key senior executives and thought leaders out of the blogosphere.
- Frequent posting drives poor content quality.
- Frequent posting threatens the credibility of the blogosphere.
- Frequent posting will push corporate bloggers into the hands of PR agencies.
- Frequent posting creates the equivalent of a blogging landfill.
- I love my family too much!
